Vakula has built a productive partnership with French label Phonogramme.
Last year, they delivered his first vinyl outing for six years and have
continued to offer-up fine EPs from the long-serving Ukrainian producer
ever since. His latest four-tracker is, by his standards, quite bold and
heavy, though his usual cosmic sounds and heady aural textures remain an
ear-catching focal point. Opener 'Whisper of the Earth' seemingly twists,
turns and builds throughout via waves of increasingly spacey synths, weird
effects, trippy acid lines and energetic drum fills. 'Unique Idoegram' is
an exceptionally immersive soundscape that sits somewhere between deep
house and melodic electro, while title track 'U're Made of Sound' is an
ultra-deep and spacey deep house gem. If you really want to get
intergalactic, the enveloping and super-cosmic 'Little Flight' ticks all
the right boxes.
