Since popping up on 1080p 12 years ago, Canadian producer Dylan
Khotin-Foote has been a model of reliability, frequently showcasing a
signature sound that mixes hallucinatory deep house sounds and psychedelic
electronics with chugging grooves, dubby basslines and the colourful
dreaminess of Balearica. There's certainly plenty of deep, hazy and
hallucinatory sounds to be found on his latest self-released four tracker,
from the outsider deep house of shuffling opener 'Resobeat (89 Mix)', and
the Italian dream house influenced beauty of 'Tropique 707', to the
spaced-out, effects-laden tactility of 'Rays Ways' and the ultra-deep
horizontal house haziness of dub-wise closing cut 'Cyber_space'.
